Adam Scott

Adam Scott was born in Adelaide and grew up mostly in Queensland, introduced to golf by his father, a club professional and course designer. He won the Australian Boys' Amateur twice, played college golf at UNLV, and turned pro in 2000. After his father coached him through his teens, he started working with Butch Harmon at 19.

Scott won four European Tour events within three years and took The Players Championship in 2004 at just 23, then moved his schedule to the U.S. He won the Tour Championship in 2006 and the WGC-Bridgestone in 2011. In 2013 he became the first Australian to win the Masters, and in 2014 he climbed to world No. 1.

His smooth, technically sound swing is widely admired, and he has stayed competitive for more than two decades. He adapted after the anchored-putter ban to win the Honda Classic and WGC-Cadillac in 2016, then won the 2020 Genesis Invitational at Riviera. A fixture on International Presidents Cup teams since 2003, he still plays the PGA Tour and is ranked 45th in the world.
