Ben Griffin grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, winning two state high school titles before playing four seasons at the University of North Carolina. He turned professional in 2018 and won on PGA Tour Canada that summer, but struggled on the developmental tours that followed and stepped away from golf in 2021 to work as a mortgage loan officer.
He returned through qualifying school, earned his PGA Tour card off the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour and broke through in 2025. That spring he won the Zurich Classic team event with Andrew Novak, then the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial. He made the U.S. Ryder Cup team that fall and closed his year with a tournament-record win at the World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico.
