Cameron Young

Cameron Young grew up around the game in Westchester County, New York, where his father ran the pro shop as head professional at Sleepy Hollow Country Club. He starred at Fordham Prep and then Wake Forest, and as an amateur he became the first to win the New York State Open, tying the Bethpage Black course record in the process.

After turning professional in 2019, he Monday-qualified his way onto the Korn Ferry Tour and won twice in 2021 to earn a PGA Tour card. His rookie season brought five runner-up finishes, including the 2022 Open at St Andrews, and Rookie of the Year honors. He is one of the longest hitters in the game, routinely carrying drives well past 300 yards.

The breakthrough finally came at the 2025 Wyndham Championship. In 2026 he won The Players Championship, birdieing the island-green 17th and closing with a towering drive on 18, then added the Cadillac Championship a few weeks later. He also tied for third at the 2026 Masters and finished one shot behind Ryan Fox at the Open, and he now sits fourth in the world.
