Rickie Fowler

Rickie Fowler grew up in Murrieta, California, and is largely self-taught, having learned the game on a driving range. At Oklahoma State he became the world's top-ranked amateur for 36 weeks across 2007 and 2008, won the Ben Hogan Award, and went unbeaten in his second Walker Cup. He turned pro in late 2009.

His first PGA Tour win came in a playoff over Rory McIlroy at the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship. His signature victory followed at the 2015 Players, where he played the last six holes in six under and won in a playoff, and he added the Deutsche Bank Championship that fall. He climbed to fourth in the world after winning in Abu Dhabi in 2016 and posted top-five finishes in all four majors in 2014.

Known for his bright outfits and fan appeal, Fowler went through a long slump after his 2019 Phoenix Open win, dropping out of the majors. A reunion with coach Butch Harmon helped him rebuild, and he won the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic in a playoff. That same year he shot 62 at the U.S. Open. He plays the PGA Tour and is ranked 48th.
