Ryan Gerard grew up in North Carolina, where he was a four-time all-state player at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh before moving on to the University of North Carolina. He earned All-America honors twice as a Tar Heel and finished with one of the lowest career scoring averages in program history.
He turned pro in 2022 and won the Quebec Open in only his fourth start on PGA Tour Canada. A Monday-qualifying run to fourth at the 2023 Honda Classic gave him temporary PGA Tour status, and a Korn Ferry Tour win at the 2024 BMW Charity Pro-Am, by six shots, secured his full card.
Gerard's first PGA Tour title came at the 2025 Barracuda Championship, played in a modified Stableford format. He also finished runner-up at the 2025 Valero Texas Open and lost playoffs at the 2025 Mauritius Open and the 2026 Memorial Tournament. Those results, plus steady play against elite fields, have lifted him inside the top 25 of the world ranking.
