Tommy Fleetwood comes from Southport on England's northwest coast, a region steeped in links golf. He was a decorated amateur, winning the English Amateur and playing in the 2009 Walker Cup before turning professional in 2010. He topped the Challenge Tour rankings in 2011 to reach the European Tour, and won the season-long Race to Dubai in 2017.
Known for his flowing hair and smooth, rhythmic swing, Fleetwood is one of the most consistent iron players in the world and has twice shot 63 at a U.S. Open. He has been a Ryder Cup mainstay for Europe since 2018 and won an Olympic silver medal for Great Britain in Paris.
For years he collected near-misses in America, until he won the 2025 Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup that came with it in his 164th PGA Tour start. His other big wins include two Nedbank Golf Challenges, the 2024 Dubai Invitational and the 2025 DP World India Championship. He remains in search of a first major.
